Department of Environmental Toxicology monitors population exposed to occupational and environmental hazards for genetic damage by

  • Assessment of reproductive performance and health status in the above populations
  • Analysis of chromosomal aberrations, sister chromated exchanges and comet assay.
  • Assessment of heavy metals and urinary metabolites by HPLC, Gas Chromatography and Mas spectrometry
  • Assessment of genes involved in xenobiotic metabolism and diseases.

More than 25,000 vulnerable groups have been screened.
